Job description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Operating as the lead point of contact for the accounts team;
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships;
  • Professional development of the accounts team and managing CPE activities;
  • The reviewing of financial statements;
  • Ensuring that the accounts department is kept abreast of all updates and changes to technical standards as well as any legal changes that impact the department;
  • Quality control & assessment of work delivered by the accounts department;
  • Implementing policies and procedures as well as creating uniform standards and approach to delivering accounts & financial statements;
  • Handling a portfolio of clients and attending client meeting as & when required;
  • Developing new business with existing clients and new clients;
  • Identifying areas of improvement;
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Applicants are expected to:
  • Have previous work experience in a similar role;
  • Be fully qualified;
  • Have experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs;
  • Have proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail;
  • Have the right soft skills in order to manage a team;
  • Be computer literate with an excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications;
  • Be well organised, accurate and able to work under pressure;
  • Be able to communicate confidently and effectively in both Maltese and English;
  • Be able to work well as part of a team.
