Our Client is an Innovation-driven Payments Specialist, currently looking to recruit a Site Reliability Engineer, to join its growing Tech Teams.

The candidate will form part of a team that is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and services used by our products. You will work closely with the product development and engineering teams to expand and enhance their service platform.

Responsibilities:


 

  • Continuously improve their process for detecting, responding to, and learning from production incidents
  • Provide visibility into availability and performance metrics to ascertain uptime
  • Reclaim Engineering time by substituting traditionally laborious human tasks with the automation of infrastructure, configuration, and delivery
  • Provision, configure and optimize server and network infrastructure, tools and processes
  • Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced engineers.
  • Work with all Engineering Teams to baseline and improve pipelines
  • Maintain and improve the overall network, infrastructure and security posture of Apco Systems inward and outward facing services
  • Provide on-call Support
  • Implement and maintaining systems that monitor networks, server health, and application performance.
  • Configure infrastructure systems to provide load balancing, application firewalls, reverse proxying, and related services.
  • Create and implementing security policies that protect us and our customers.
Requirements: 

 
  • 3 years’ experience in provisioning, configuring and monitoring infrastructure on the cloud (Preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • General knowledge of the prominent tools in this space and how to select tools that help achieve our goals (e.g. Terraform, Azure CLI, Azure DevOps)
  • Solid knowledge of Linux and/or Windows base operating systems
  • Strong foundation in security from a software, systems, and network standpoint.
  • Experience with configuring and provisioning Monitoring tools (such as Application Insights DataDog, Pingdom, Grafana) etc.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one modern scripting language
  • A passion and habit for measuring key data points revolving around performance and uptime
  • Experience with a SaaS application hosted in the cloud
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge and/or experience on Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps will be given preference for this role
  • Technically proficient in the Systems Engineering discipline as a core competence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
