Job description:
Our client a Boutique Audit Firm based in Gozo, which offers various services including Assurance Services, Accounting, Advisory, and Taxation Compliance Services, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Client Accountant.
 This is a dynamic role that requires an energetic individual who is motivated, the chosen candidate will be expected to carry out specific accounting tasks.
 
Responsibilities:

• Completing the management accounts of one’s portfolio of clients;
• Preparation and submission of VAT Returns for this portfolio of clients;
• Ensure that all the tasks within the assigned portfolio of clients are completed in accordance with statutory requirements;
• Liaising with Auditors, Tax and VAT Departments and MFSA, necessary and as directed by the Head of Department;
• Liaising with internal departments to obtain information and supporting documentation to allow for the timely preparation of financial statements and statutory returns;
• Involvement in client meetings in relation to own portfolio;
• Any other accounting-related duties as may be required from time to time.

​Requirements: 

• Preferably fully certified or on the final stages of an ACCA qualification or with significant accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting, with a minimum of 1 year in client accounting. 
• Be flexible and able to work independently yet also be an effective team player.
• Approaches work in a methodical and organized manner, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
• Be proactive in fulfilling his / her duties.
• High standards of work ethics and commitment; clear communication at all levels
• Be a client-oriented and loyal personality with a friendly character
• Previous experience working in a similar role will be considered an asset.
