Job description:
Our client, a well-known and international company working within the payments and fintech field, and being at a huge period of expansion and growth, are seeking to hire a QA Engineer.
 
The role will be responsible for the quality of releases, coordinating the QA efforts between the Development and Site Operations teams assuring top quality code being released into production.
 
Responsibilities

• Responsible for the QA infrastructure and technologies, including pipelines, and various testing environments, hand in hand with the Site Operations team, reporting monthly quality KPIs.
• Has an oversight of the health of the builds and does initial analysis and monitoring of any failures including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Responsible for more high-level tests such as stress testing and multi-node testing.
• Perform any manual and ad-hoc testing, automating whatever is possible.
• Coordinate releases from a code-freeze perspective, triggering pipelines and related tasks, tuning the process to address the needs of the stakeholders.

 
Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a Development or QA role, ideally in a Java environment.
• Have a good understanding of Software delivery process in an Agile and DevOps environment.
• Experience with QA tools such as Jenkins, Sonar, JMeter, SoapUI, Selenium and CI/CD methodology, ideally in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and debugging skills.
• Passion for continuous improvement and good communication and planning skills to interact with various stakeholders.
