JOB DESCRIPTION
ACCOUNT MANAGER
 
Primary Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing a number of important new and existing accounts, including client relations, project management, support and retention.
 
The primary responsibilities for this position are to:
  • Familiarize yourself with a number of existing accounts and strike up trust-based relationships with these customers
  • Take on a number of new accounts
  • Act as the central, primary contact for the above accounts, channeling their requests to different departments accordingly
  • Provide customers with valuable insight and recommendations stemming from a deep understanding of technologies, tools and platforms, as well as an understanding of the customers’ industries and business requirements
  • Create robust, realistic and achievable project plans after consulting with all stakeholders
  • Carry out requirements analysis, where necessary, to ensure project outcomes are beyond expectations
  • Manage a number of projects for the above clients, from the initial internal planning stages, through to deployment and support, using an Agile methodology
  • Oversee project development work and interface with customer to ensure that all is being developed according to requirements and beyond customers’ expectations
  • Generate new business from existing accounts through a constant desire to improve customers’ business offerings and performance
  • Guide customers through user acceptance testing process to ensure clients have the best possible outcome
  • Provide training to customers on various technology platforms, ranging from internal tools, to external, off-the-shelf products
  • Provide support to customers ensuring that their solutions grow sustain-ably
  • Meet established project delivery targets based on timeliness, budget, and customer satisfaction
 
Requirements for the Role
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of web and mobile applications and the software development lifecycle
  • Understanding of Agile processes
  • Excellent communications skills including
  • Ability to deal with a variety of customers from different backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate with technical and design-based teams clearly and assertively
  • Ability to communicate with management in a clear and concise fashion
  • Perfect fluency in English and Maltese
  • Highly organised, familiar with modern office tools and techniques
  • Experience with various Content Management Systems, including WordPress and Drupal
  • Experience managing software projects requiring over 300 hours of development
  • Bachelors Degree in ICT
  • Candidates should possess high problem solving abilities
 
The Following will be Considered Assets
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE2, SCRUM, Agile
  • Soft Skills training relating to customer service and time management
  • Masters degree or higher
  • Fluency in French
