The Core Banking Platforms System Specialist will be responsible for the operations, maintenance and development of the Bank’s Core Banking Platforms (Finacle). The selected candidate will assist in designing new solutions and enhancements whilst establishing general and detailed specifications as required. S/he will work closely with systems specialists, support officers as well as third party contractors and suppliers to implement solutions and enhancements/fixes. Duties and responsibilities: · Working together with the various users of Core Banking Platforms to provide support on system setups, report writing, testing, documentation, end-user training, etc. · Assisting in the introduction of enhancements/improvements to the Core Banking Platforms whilst ensuring a smooth user experience across various departments · Interface with software vendors and/or internal resources to resolve issues and problems · Reporting, logging and tracking defects with various vendors · Following up on issues and tracking root cause analysis and corresponding documentation · Producing test documentation for regression tests and acceptance of new functionality · Acting as a second level support for problems related to internal user issues · Managing defect/task lists internally and from vendors by means of ticketing systems · Responsible for compiling test scripts for Development/Unit Testing and UAT · Assisting as required, in large-scale system implementations and upgrades · Ensuring that the deliverables meet the requirements set out by the Business analysts and/or product owners · Ensuring that all necessary quality assurance procedures and checks are followed and conducted prior to any delivery · Ensuring that system developments (enhancements and maintenance) are delivered on priority and in a timely manner Required knowledge, skills and experience: · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computing or Banking · Two years’ experience working in a bank or financial institution · Experience working with business software application systems, including administration, reporting, structured testing, documentation and user support, preferably within the banking and/or financial industry · Knowledge of banking regulations, payment systems and experience working in Core Banking Systems such as Finacle, SQL and BI Reporting tools will be considered an asset · Ability to interact with others in a professional manner If you are interested or know of someone that could be, kindly forward your CV in a word format to Maria Engerer on [email protected] or call on +356 27 204 518 for further information. |
