Job Details:
My client is an international e- commerce company with established offices in Malta. They are now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to structure & head the Finance team.

As a financial controller the selected candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors and be directly responsible for supervising the accounts department. The position entails the responsibility in ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and effectively by securing a healthy and stimulating work environment to motivate the accounts team.
 
Position description:
  • Regular monitoring within the finance department to ascertain that financial procedures are being carried out in compliance with statutory regulations and the exigencies of the general management.
  • Preparation of monthly and annual accounts, VAT returns and regular and ad hoc reports.
  • Staying abreast with national and international developments and reflecting such developments into the financial processes of the organisation.
  • Preparation of budgets and monitoring actual performance.
  • Overseeing payroll working.
 
Position requirements:
 
  • Minimum qualification of Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree, ACCA or equivalent.
  • An excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literate and knowledge of financial software.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
