Key duties
 
Strategic:
 
  • Ensure that HR priorities are aligned to business requirements.
  • develop and build organisational culture and values.
  • External environment and competitiveness analysis.
  • Development and optimisation of existing resources.
  • Recruitment.

Operational:

  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions
  • update and establish HR processes to support increased and increasing company growth.
  • Establish a recruiting, testing and interviewing program including counselling managers on candidate selection, conducting and analysing exit interviews, recommending changes.
  • Along with other managers, establish and conduct orientation and training programs.
  • Work collaboratively with executive and management teams to create compensations and benefit programs that are competitive, cost effective and align individual performance with company success.
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees, schedule management conferences with employees, hear and resolve employee  grievances, counsel employees and supervisors.
  • Define and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop practice and programs that attract, retain and develop the best possible talent in the marketplace and make the company attractive through competitive pay and an engaging culture, based on data driven decisions.
  • Responsible for hiring process of foreign and local nationals and managing all necessary paperwork in Malta (and other locations as needed)
  • Maintain employee benefits programs; recommends benefit programs to the executive team, analysis of benefit trends.
  • Create and enhance unique and successful on-boarding techniques.
  • Bring expert advice and tact in resolving employee relations issues.
  • Provide guidance on employment contract negotiations.
  • Monitor the company’s cultural environment and proactively address issues.
  • Ensure that the company is compliant with all the current human resource related laws, regulations and best practise.
  • Continue to build and manage the HR Department as the company continues to grow and expand internationally

Key Attributes

  • 5+ years HR management experience (with emphasis on recruitment)
  • Experience with immigration and working visas requirements
  • Experience with hiring and termination processes
  • Benefits negotiation and administration
  • Working knowledge of ETC/Malta immigration processes and Foreign Employee relocation
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, and changing environment
  • A proven leader with demonstrated success implementing people programs and initiatives, who can credibly drive change in the organisation
  • Flexible, able to manage change, and manage multiple projects successfully to completion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Global human resource experience
