My client operates in the online card payment services industry. Due to recent rapid growth in the Maltese office they are now seeking a junior Legal Officer to be responsible for Compliance and Research in the Legal and Compliance department.
 
The ideal candidate should be a recently qualified lawyer who is looking to get into the industry. You will have the opportunity to work alongside senior Legal professionals and the opportunity to develop and grow within the company.
 
Job duties will include:
  • Research -EU and Local Legislation (to ensure that Company is in compliance with these rules)
  • Research - Industry based (e.g Gaming, Adult, downloadable content ect) to ensure that our merchants are in compliance with the relevant legislation (and to be able to write and implement policies throughout the companies)
  • Research- Card Scheme Rules - to ensure full compliance and to help implement policies and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of policies, manuals, training etc.
  • Drafting of contracts/policies and manuals.
  • Assist Legal in other legal tasks from time to time.
