QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER
 
Our client is looking to complement our QA team with a ‘Quality Assurance Automation Engineer’.  The QA Automation team is the point of reference for driving test automation efforts within the company.  A list of duties and desired skills and experience are listed below.
This position calls for a dedicated and motivated individual who is ready to join the QA team and build upon the existing automation framework to facilitate on-going testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, enhance, build, test, and deploy test automation solutions and frameworks;
  • Provide estimates of testing effort (design and execution);
  • Drive implementation of new features and enhancements for the test automation system, and help create innovative test tools;
  • Analyse test results and help in debugging to determine root cause of failures;
  • Track bug reports and change requests to their resolution;
  • Generate and analyse easy-to-read test reports and communicate results;
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation;

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience designing and developing test automation solutions and frameworks;
  • Good knowledge in programming and automation testing of web applications;
  • Knowledge of SQL;
  • Experience using code repositories;
  • Experience using build automation tools;
  • Experience using continuous integration tools;
  • Experience with ORM tools will be considered an asset;
  • ISTQB certification or experience in manual testing will be considered an asset
