One of our international clients are seeking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to join its dynamic team and support its diverse customer base. Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, the successful applicant will join the software development team which develops and maintains bespoke solutions and house products. The Senior Software Engineer will mentor junior developers, provide strategic technical input and technical solution designs, liaise with the customer account management, business development and services teams; and develop and unit-test bespoke solutions according to customer requirements. The Senior Software Engineer proactively contributes and develops the firm’s current products according to technical roadmaps; contributes to implementing innovative technologies for greater efficiencies and improved quality; provides analyses, debugging and troubleshooting of third level support calls; and delivers optimised code with excellent performance attributes. THE REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science or similar and be able to demonstrate proficiency in .NET, C# and SQL with five years’ experience. Experience in SOA, such as SOAP and REST services / Web API, Java Script and popular frameworks (JQUERY/Angular) are considered advantageous, while experience with CMS/DMS experience with enterprise systems and open source systems is a plus. Candidates must understand and apply SDLC principles when working with or leading a team of developers, possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges, be self-motivated and able to multitask, and have experience in an Agile development environment.
