Software Developer Our Client, a major player within the IT industry is seeking a software developer with a strong background in .NET, C# and SQL to join their growing development team. They are seeking - bright, organised, process-minded candidates with at least 2 years of work experience in a similar position who are keen to use technology to enhance, automate and create user - friendly and easily administrable applications. Knowledge of Retail and Hospitality Systems together with experience in working with project management methodologies is highly desirable. Required Skills An excellent academic record, including a degree qualification in Computing or a related discipline or suitable relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of relevant programming languages. This should include C# and .NET. An understanding of the factors affecting software performance, and the ability to design and write code that is maintainable, extensible and efficient. Possess strong writing skills and able to communicate well in Maltese & English. Job Description- Takes responsibility for the delivery of major product features and will identify and resolve all key technical issues relating to an entire product and report progress to project management. Mayalso be involved in the development of a new prototype technology.- Analyzes and validates requirements, and where necessary negotiates scope with internal or external customers. - Codes, develops, unit tests, debugs, documents, implements computer applications. - Develops software solutions that satisfy agreed functional and non-functional requirements. - Participates in the estimation of new development tasks whilst adhering to existing software design, implementation, testing, documentation and quality control processes. - Promotes good design principles such as code reuse, modularity and extensibility and mentors others in these principles.
