Overview of the Role
 
Our clients, a world leader in payments innovation, is looking to recruit a Senior Software Testing/QA Engineer to help in the creation of innovative payment technologies that will revolutionaries the payments industry. Forming part of a team of dedicated Q.A. engineers and working closely with other development teams, your task is to assure quality throughout the whole development lifecycle. You will create test strategies, test plans and test cases to cover all features under development, implement automated tests, define processes and build tools with the aim of building quality into our deliverables and preventing bugs from ever making it into to production. Responsibilities:
  • Build advanced automated test suites to test our payment applications
  • Conduct research on emerging testing technologies and recommend tools to assist QA Engineers and Developers in test planning and execution
  • Collaborate with development and product team to attain test driven design and development
  • Update and maintain a number of servers running on Windows or Unix environment
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in IT or equivalent qualification
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in payment solutions
  • Load/Performance test experience using JMeter, SoupUI or Grinder
  • Experience in test automation development using JUnit and Selenium Webdriver
  • Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
  • Experience with technologies such as Java and MySQL
  • Experience in working with Unix/Linux environments
  • Excellent time management, organization and planning skills are essential
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues
  • Ability to set priorities in a multitasking environment
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Working experience in Agile practises and/or Continuous Delivery will be considered an asset.
