Position Description
Title: Technician
Primary Purpose:
The main duty is to attend to, diagnose, and repair faults that may arise on all equipment marketed by the Company to its clients. Some of these systems may also be installed on maritime vessels.
Responsibilities

Attend any training provided by the Company.

Responsible for the Company-provided vehicle as a tool for performing his duties

The vehicle must always be kept in a condition as specified in Company Vehicle Policy.

Perform from time to time client site evaluations to provide listings of equipment necessary for new installations or extensions to existing systems.

To record and report details of faults identified, work performed and components used during any technical intervention at any client site.

Perform maintenance or repair of an electrical, electronic, mechanical nature in the Company workshop. This also includes the testing of, or/and participating in new product development programs or systems acquired by the Company prior to placement on the Market.

Participate in an “on-Call” schedule after normal working hours including weekends and public holidays, to attend to any emergency calls arising at Company’s clients.

These tasks and duties shall be performed according to the Company or supplier Standard Operating Procedures, and the Company Manual.

Possession of a valid driving licence

Exhibit and practice good communication skills with client’s colleagues and superiors and system suppliers at all times.

Show respect, courtesy and a positive attitude whilst taking all care for the preservation of client and company property.
The technician may be required to perform duties in the Company’s mechanical and electrical workshops and Company Corporate premises.
