ASSISTANT RELATIONSHIP OFFICER In this role you will form part of the Trade and Commodity Finance. Within the business unit the Assistant to the Relationship Officer will be a key member of the client facing team and will be responsible for all aspects of the existing relationships. This includes liaison with both existing clients and with internal departments, especially Middle and Back Offices, Legal Department and the Risk Management Department. Duties will include: · Assist Relationship Officer in all daily work · Communicate with and provide assistance to existing clients and internal departments · Supporting the Relationship Officer in client management task – assisting with Call Reports · Oversee and assist in the individual credit process · Regular review of the running facilities/accounts of the client portfolio · Prepare information for the Relationship Officer for cases which have to be discussed with the client e.g. a breach of conditions. · Prepare, schedule and follow up for client meetings held by the Relationship Officer · General research for the Relationship Officer relating to price fluctuation, products, countries etc. · Improve/automate reporting and handling processes etc · Regular contact with the existing client to improve service and offer cross selling products · Learn to structure new deals · Learn to analyse client needs in order to offer the relevant products (from client contacts via term sheet development to a credit application request) Requirements: · At least 3 years experience in a financial institution or a trading company, ideally in the field of trade & commodity finance and trade services · Have at least 2 years experience in a credit and/or collateral department · Degree in Banking and Finance or related discipline · Have an understanding of related markets and their general trends · Good communication and presentation skills · Readiness to serve international clients both by phone and face to face · Interested in technologies and the ability to adapt to new computer systems · Proven ability to learn and to adapt to a changing environment · Self motivated, proactive and a good team player · Fluency in English is a necessity, while other languages would be considered an asset · Proficiency in MS Office is a minimum requirement If you are interested or know of someone that could be, kindly forward your CV in a word format to Krista Psaila on [email protected] or call on +356 27 204 518 for further information.
