Overview of Role
The CEO is responsible for implementing the strategy agreed by the Board of Directors. The COO’s main responsibility is the running of the organisation’s daily core business and for the internal implementation of the vision and strategic objectives of the Board.
Responsibilities:

Reporting regularly to the Board with appropriate, timely and quality information so the Board can discharge its responsibilities effectively.

Informing and consulting the Board on all matters of significance to the Board so that the Board can properly discharge their responsibilities.

Developing and delivering the strategic objectives agreed with the Board.

Recommending to the Board significant operational changes and major capital expenditures where these are beyond his delegated authority.

Assigning responsibilities clearly to staff and senior management and overseeing the establishment of effective risk management and control systems.

Recruiting, developing and retaining talented people to work at the company and in particular establishing a strong management team.

Manage and direct the organisation’s operations to meet budget and other financial goals.

Develop, establish, and direct the execution of operating policies to support overall company objectives.
Requirements:

Experience in a similar position within Banking / ePayments industry is a must
-
University Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related
-
MBA would be a plus
-
Fluency in English

This person will need to be eligible to be approved by the MFSA

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels in the organisation.
