Job Details:
Reporting to: Managing Director
Summary of Role: Overseeing of the Compliance Department.
 
Primary Responsibilities
•  Upload client application forms and information onto the Company’s database via a document Management system.
•   Maintain client data within a primary management information system.
•   Review of exception reports for unusal transactions, changes to client risk ratings and the like;
•  Provide guidance and training to staff on regulatory matters and internal policies and procedure
•  Continual risk assessment of company practices
•  Undertake, manage and investigate incidents, or as directed by the Directors.
•  Update the compliance manual in accordance with changes in legislation, regulations and company procedure as required;
•  Serve as liaison for and correspond with the MFSA on regulatory and licensing matters and assisting with the preparation and submission of regulatory reports;
•  Provision of management information on regulatory, compliance issues and complaints.
• Ensuring that complaints are responded to and dealt with in an efficient and professional manner.
•  Maintain a Breach and High Risk register.
•  Keep up to date with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines and news relevant to the role and to ensure adequate personal training is undertaken;
•  Organise the ongoing identification, documentation, management and communication of company compliance
•  Advise the Directors on relevant compliance rules, legislation, standards, recommendations and practices
•  Monitoring and testing compliance with compliance law and regulations
•  Develop and maintain a good relationship with the regulator
• Reporting to the Malta Board as standard, Group Risk Office on occasion and with access to the CEO or Group Risk Office where necessary.
•  Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Directors.

Knowledge and Skills
•  A degree preferably in risk management or in a finance related subject.
•  Six years experience in a similar role.
•  Familiar with the main office productivity software
•  Experience of office environment
•  Attentive to detail
•  Ability to set own deadlines and work accurately to tight deadlines for self and potential reportees
