HEAD OF PUBLIC RELATIONS
Our client, an innovative and growing online company, with a presence in 15 countries, and over a million members, is looking to hire a Head of Public Relations. This a unique opportunity for a PR professional to be part of this young, fun international team, and contribute directly to the ongoing success story of this company.
You will be expected to take the lead role in all PR activities of the company. This includes full responsibility for the management of our internal PR team, being responsible for your own English speaking markets as well as driving the partnerships with our outsourced agencies.
The successful applicant will be a strong manager, who understands that top performance can only be achieved through the consistent motivation and coaching of his/her team. It is therefore vital to bring years of hands-on PR experience, a strong network within the European media landscape and plenty of examples to share and inspire the team with.
As well as being a great manager, the Head of PR must also drive his/her own PR activities in English speaking markets. The role is therefore not only managing the PR team but also being hands-on on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for all PR activities both off and online.

Create and execute an aggressive PR strategy across multiple brands, multiple countries and multiple languages.

Day-to-day management and motivation of PR team to ensure maximum press coverage across all markets

Ensure core KPI’s for PR team are identified, monitored and measured in order to evaluate and give feedback on performance to each member of the PR team - “what gets measured, gets done”.

Weekly and monthly reporting to management

Identify key media contacts relevant to the brands; build and maintain long-term relationships with key PR stakeholders.

As well as managing the PR team, the Head of PR will also be responsible for English speaking markets as well as generating master press-releases in English.

Ensure that PR efforts are fully utilized across all available channels such as print, radio, TV but also across social media i.e. blogs and social networks such as Facebook, Twitter etc.

Organize and execute product launches, media events, interviews and in general any meetings with the press.

Ensure that PR efforts are integrated into the paid marketing mix and take responsibility for sharing of ideas internally.

Create and manage all press related documents such as boilerplates, press pages, press media kits, Q&A documents, crisis management policies/documents etc.
Experience and Skill Requirements:

8+ years of hands-on experience from a similar role in an international high-pace B2C environment or agency.

University degree in communications or other relevant PR subject, or MBA

English Native Speaker - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Strong network within European media outlets/journalists/bloggers

Proven track record in generating press coverage across various channels both online (including social media) and offline.

Proven experience in managing a team

Experience in working with agencies and outsourced partners.

Preference is given to candidates with previous experience from online products such as online dating, online gambling etc.
