Job Details:
Our client, a Swedish company are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant with experience in a similar position for their new office in Malta. The company was founded in the late 1970’s and operates as a tonnage provider geared to the rapidly changing realities of the shipping industry.
 
Requirements
 
  • English fluent both written and spoken
  • Previous experience in accounting - minimum accountant’s clerk
  • Payments of invoices and recording in purchase ledger/nominal ledger
  • Filing and payments of VAT, NI & PAYE etc.
  • Experience in Accounting software - preferably Visma
  • Reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly accounts (if needed under supervision)
  • Microsoft office package (mainly Excel and Word)
  • Sage (or similar accounting system)
 
Personality requirements
 
  • Well organized
  • Able to plan and meet deadlines
  • Ability to liaise with Swedish office and possible Master/CE onboard
  • Loyal
 
Considered an asset
 
  • Swedish speaking or high level of understanding
  • Knowledge of VISMA
