PRODUCT MANAGER
 
Focusing initially on the Telecom’s new Cloud Messaging Platform and other Managed Services, the Managed Services Product Manager will manage the product life cycle from executing the strategic plan to actual product roll-out. This extends from increasing the profitability of the company’s existing product to developing enhancements, which will enable future business for the company. He/she will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new products based on innovation and market research, customer requests as well as internal feedback.
 
He/she must possess a unique blend of business and technical background, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The person in this role must enjoy spending time assessing market requirements whilst keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies, and be on the lookout for innovative solutions within the Managed Services sphere.
 
The Product Manager must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, working also closely with the technical team. He/she will also work on developing a marketing communications plan to define the go-to-market strategy for the Managed Services suite of products.
 
The Product Manager must possess a flair for sales and excellent customer account management skills.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Manage the product life cycle from owning and executing the strategic plan to actual roll-out;
·         Draw up the requirements for the technical specifications and liaise with the technical department as and when needed in ensuring that the product development is in line with the requirements;
·         Drive the development of the product and ensure that milestones are met;
·         Specify requirements for current and future products through market research, client requests and other sources;
·         Create and build a brand identity for the Telecom’s Managed Services;
·         Plan and develop the right marketing strategy to get the products noticed by the right people and secure their interest;
·         Assess the opportunity for potential partner relationships;
·         Set up and manage a sales program for the Managed Services;
·         Manage the budget for Managed Services, ensuring revenue and profit targets are met;
·         Maximise the output in terms of brand awareness and recognition and generating of customer leads and interest;
·         Identify events and memberships which may increase the opportunities and generate customer leads for Managed Services;
·         Develop the pricing model/s for Managed Services in collaboration with the Head Commercial Operations and the Group management team.
·         Build a network of contacts in the industry to help promote the product line.

Education & Qualification:
·         5+ years telecoms/product management experience
·         Experience in the Telecoms industry (ideally roaming services related) together with a technical background,
·         Marketing, business & computing degree and/or strong work experience in related areas will be considered an asset,
·         Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills
