PRODUCT TEAM MANAGER
 
Overview of the role:
 
We are looking to recruit a Product Team Manager at our Malta office, to manage a team of Product Managers and Product Analysts responsible for IPS. Currently the team has eight members but we expect to scale this in line with increased demand for our product.
 
The team’s responsibilities are:
 
IPS Product management:
  • Dealing with client business requirements and working with the Technology team to implement solutions on IPS
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the team of Product Managers and Product Analysts to ensure that the team delivers effectively and efficiently
  • Recruit and train new resources to scale up team capacity
  • Review performance of individuals and provide support to help each team member grow within their role
  • Formalise Product Management and Solutioning processes
  • Formalise Product Management processes including proposition management, specification, implementation, acceptance & performance tracking
  • Formalising of Client Solutioning processes including client requirements gathering, specification writing & acceptance
  • Liaise with other internal teams that work with the team
  • Liaise with the Product Director to ensure alignment between solutioning activity and IPS roadmap
  • Liaise with Client Operations team to deliver solutions in time and within budget
  • Liaise with Technology team to develop products and solutions
  • Manage escalations and cross-team issues
 
Requirements:
  • A strong background (5+ years) in product management and product management processes
  • Excellent team management skills, working closely with each team member to ensure that the team delivers to its maximum capabilities
  • A strong technical background such as to be able to provide all the necessary guidance across day-to-day issues that need to be dealt with
  • Experience of working with technology teams using Agile methodology
  • Preferably, experience in payment technologies
