PROJECT MANAGER
 
Overview of Role
 
Our client is expanding its range of products and services across the industry and is seeking to recruit a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager to join our team based in Malta. In this role the Project Manager will work closely with our software development team as well as with other technical teams at the company.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage project resource allocation, plan and schedule project timelines
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Track deliverables using appropriate tools and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Provide assistance and recommendations to constantly improve internal process methodologies
  • Facilitate, organise and coordinate project meetings , agile sprint planning and retrospective sessions
  • Provide reporting of project status, project schedule, issues and risks towards senior management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • Organisation skills. The ability to keep control of requirements and issues, to properly document them and to work lists to a conclusion
  • Negotiation and communication skills.
  • The ability to find the best solution and to work with teams in a positive way
  • A high level knowledge of IT systems and how they are used to support business – with a preference for knowledge of the payments industry.
  • Experience in a project management role would be an advantage. Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools (task management tools, resource allocation tools)
  • Agile Project Management knowledge. PMP / PRINCE 2 / SCRUM certifications would also be an advantage
  • Polished communication both verbal and written
  • Prior experience in Software Development projects including background in systems analysis, design and product development is preferred
  • Outgoing and interested in working closely with people across all levels of the company
  • Proven ability to effectively motivate and leverage the skills and competencies of individuals
  • Self-starter, actively takes ownership, initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
