PURCHASING OFFICER
 
The selected candidate should:
 
·         Have a good level of education, preferably ‘O’ Level standard.
·         Have at least 2 years experience working in a similar position.
·         Have a good knowledge of suppliers and contracts.
·         Be able to manage and lead a team of co-workers.
·         Be self confident, efficient and well organised.
·         Have good verbal and written communication skills.
·         Be computer literate.
 
Duties:
  • Price negotiations to obtain most advantageous terms
  • Raising Purchase orders, follow up order confirmations and maintaining updated planning sheet
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure on time delivery and on time issue of orders
  • Issuing of forecasts using available tools to current supplier base
  • Conducting inventory analysis / slow moving items report and stock rotation
