Purchasing & Stores Executive

Working for an FMCG company in this key position you will be responsible for procurement of raw material and finished goods, and to ensure that all orders are received on time in coordination with all stakeholders.

The Position will involve:
  • Monitoring material usage and ensuring that orders are scheduled to avoid out of stock situations whilst also optimising storage space Conducting cost and price analysis
  • Price negotiations to obtain most advantageous terms
  • Raising Purchase orders, follow up order confirmations and maintaining updated planning sheet
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure on time delivery and on time issue of orders
  • Issuing of forecasts using available tools to current supplier base
  • Conducting inventory analysis / slow moving items report and stock rotation

Applicants are expected to possess:
  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • A Purchasing and/or a Logistics Shipping qualification
  • Good Computer Literacy, ideally with experience in ERP/MRP software and office applications
  • Analytical skills with a hands-on approach and able to perform with minimum supervision
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and negotiation skills.
  • A thorough approach to work coupled with an exceptional flair for developing and maintaining healthy business relationships
