In this position you will be responsible for planning, organising, directing and controlling the Company’s purchasing and stores function as well as the coordination of related shipping requirements. Main Responsibilities include: • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure the most favourable terms while adhering to Company standards and operating procedures. • Monitoring of material usage, ensuring that orders are scheduled so that no out of stock situations arise. • Monitoring sales trend and upcoming promotional campaigns, and adjusting the order process accordingly. • Directing and managing purchasing staff ensuring that established levels of quality products are purchased and delivered. • Managing the Company’s stores ensuring that incoming inspection and storage of material is done in accordance to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess proven managerial experience within a similar role and a purchasing and/or shipping qualification. Knowledge of ERP/MRP software will be considered an asset.
