QA TEAM LEAD The ‘QA Team Lead’ will report to the QA Manager and will form part of a growing team. A list of duties and desired skills and experience are listed below. This position calls for a dynamic, fact and analysis driven, trustworthy individual with great oral and written communication skills, time management and an eye for detail. The selected candidate will: · Line Manage a team of QA Analysts / Software testers; · Be responsible for mentoring and the development of team members, together with the identification of training needs; · Create and manage test plans and task assignment; · Review work progress and make recommendations; · Establish and maintain quality metrics for the team; · Create and maintain reports and communicate with QA Manager; · Lead or actively part-take in peer reviews as necessary; · Monitor adherence to test processes and work schedules; · Part-take in manual testing, test case creation, documentation and test execution as necessary; · Take a pro-active approach towards problem solving; · Make regular recommendations for team, process and system improvement; · Develop relationships and processes with customers and other bodies to ensure pro-active achievement of the company objectives; Desired Skills & Experience: · A degree in Computer Science or a related field; · At least 2 years’ experience in a team leading position; · At least 2 years’ in a software testing role and preferably previous work experience in software development or IT operational support roles; · Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues;; · Knowledge of test tools such as JIRA, TestRail, QC, SOAPUI, JMeter, LoadRunner etc.; · Experience in building test plans and related tools such as MS Project; · Knowledge of performance and scalability test approaches; · Knowledge in software development, Oracle, and PL/SQL; · Good business acumen, including superior written and verbal communication skills in English, presentation skills, and organisational abilities; · Excellent time management, organisation and prioritization skills; · Previous experience in system administration or administration of test tools will be considered an asset; · Knowledge in test automation will be considered an asset; · ISTQB certification will be considered an asset.
