Revenue Manager
 
Our client is a 4 star hotel accommodating 116 rooms.  
 
Scope and General Purpose:
She/he is responsible for maximizing overall room revenue through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies via corporate, direct and web-related business channels, based on creating demand and competitor analysis.
 
Reports to:
Hotel Senior Management.

Responsible for:
All front office / reservations / sales supervisors and team members.

Liaises with:
  • Operations Manager
  • Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Financial Controller
  • Main Responsibilities :
  • Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels;
  • Effectively manage and be in control of all inventory;
  • Responsible for effective implementation and compliance with the hotel’s overall marketing strategy, operational budgets and business plan;
  • Ensure all distribution channels are optimized;
  • Produce accurate forecasts and revenue reports on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Share best revenue management practices and key learnings with senior management.

Experience:
  • Knowledge of market-leading PMS/CRS systems, preferably Prospero, Opera;
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in revenue management, including electronic GDS distribution systems;
  • A proven track record of increasing revenue streams, strengthening the performance of a property or several properties;
  • Experience with revenue management reports and market performance reports and forecasting.

  • Ability to investigate systems malfunctions or user-input errors.
  • Ability to analyze data, make meaningful conclusions and base sound decisions and strategies on these.
  • Knowledge of industry-specify terminology;
  • Ability to adapt to a frequently changing market environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and in writing. A second language, preferably German, is required.
