ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role requires a room division’s manager with leadership qualities with the ability to give clear and concise instructions. The selected person will reinforce present systems and also come up with new ways to improve the Rooms Division within the resort. He/she will be expected to deal with guest complaints and should therefore work well under pressure and keep calm in difficult situations. This position calls for a person holding an ITS or similar qualification (Diploma level or more), together with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the rooms division of a 4 or 5 star hotel environment or similar. Excellent communication skills is crucial for this role Responsibilities include: · Assisting the General Manager on the daily running of the resort. · Management of the Front Office Department including staff roster · Overseeing Guest Relations · Overseeing the Housekeeping Department · Dealing directly with guest concerns · Training and interviewing new members of staff within the Rooms Division. · Up keeping and implementing SOP’s for the Rooms Division · A good knowledge of languages is expected for the mentioned post, namely: Maltese, English, French, German and/or Italian.
