TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER In this role, you will form part of the team responsible for the technology infrastructure of the Group. Your duties will include: · Installation, configuration and administration of enterprise database, application servers and storage systems; · Providing second line of support; · Developing and maintaining technical documentation. You should therefore have general all-round technical skills in technology infrastructure with specialisations in a number of the following: · RDBMs (preferably Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server); · Oracle PL/SQL; · J2EE based Application Servers (Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat Apache etc.); · BI, OLAP, Data Mining & Reporting Platforms (Oracle BI, SAP Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSAS); · Enterprise Storage systems; · Data Protection systems and technologies. Furthermore, any complementary skills in Change Management, Data Networking, IT security and Virtualization would be desirable. This role calls for at least 3 years of prior experience working in demanding mission-critical IT environments. Whilst not essential, an engineering or IT-related degree together with relevant vendor certifications will be considered as assets. You must also be a good team player, be willing to provide support after standard office hours, show initiative and commitment together with a capacity for taking on responsibility and meeting tight deadlines.
