Job Description: Our client is looking for Senior Web Designer to join their very energetic marketing department, contributing to the success of their web presence through their main web site and other associated sites. It’s important that the candidate is able to understand high-level systemic project requirements and apply all the Web-UX expertise to achieve the strategic goals. The successful Sr. Web Designer will have a solid combination of experience and education that enables him/her to create and design a unique, visually aesthetic, and functional website and promotional tools. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, detailed, and driven to produce high quality work. This individual must thrive in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities: · Passionate about web design (responsive), user experience and web code. Bring new and innovative ideas to improve the web presence. · Participate in concept development, design ideation, and detailed specification of visual designs for user interfaces of the future and existing innovations, prototypes and mock-ups. · Produce design wireframes, user flows and scenarios and design prototypes. Create visual designs and user interface design that address business, brand, market, and marketing requirements, including design and production of screen layouts. · Strong commitment to customer service and attention to detail · Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities, timely and efficiently, in a fast paced environment. · Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centred design process. · Work closely with the Marketing team to develop web sites, landing pages and other web products. · Design clean, intuitive and beautiful user interfaces across multiple devices and platforms. · Brainstorm and mock up design ideas for websites. · Assist on other projects as needed. · Maintenance and update of existing sites. · Build emails that render properly across major email clients and browsers (responsive email-build knowledge would be a plus). Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Digital Media Design or other visual arts. · Must be fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, or similar graphics/user interface design team software. Must have solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. · Proficient with web standards and best practices. Understanding the browser nuances is a key. · Good listener, ability to listen keenly and adapt ideas, coming up with multiple concepts and clearly articulating the trade-offs of each concept and getting buy-in from all stakeholders. · Excellent delivery and execution skills. Must deliver prototypes, final mock-ups in a timely manner and resolve dependencies and conflicts. · Passionate and self-driven attitude. · Candidates must able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team, and be able to rationalize and present their design ideas and decisions effectively. Must be able to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment. · Good natured, flexible, leave-your-ego-at-the-door approach to web design. · Rock solid skills in graphic design, with an eye for typography, palette development, intuitive layout, and a pixel-level attention to detail. You must have a deep appreciation for clean, simple, usable interfaces. · Experience with international websites and audiences a plus. · Must be enthusiastic and committed to staying on top of leading edge web design, mobile design & development trends. · Familiarity with CMS’s such as WordPress a plus. · Candidates must have an online portfolio with multiple examples of interactive design.
